FALC enables simulations of the (future) development of population, jobs, construction, real estate demand, transport, and their interaction effects. The models include a large amount of information: for example, age and income of residents, commuting ties as well as the spatial distribution of the companies in various industries.

icon LAND-USE

Modeling Land Use includes a wide variety of models for demography, migration, relocation of households and companies, as well as relocation behavior. In addition to geographic indicators such as accessibility and proximity, different variables can be considered: such as building zone capacity, taxation or economic development.

icon TRANSPORT

FaLC features an integrated transport model, which is geared primarily to the interaction with the other models. It calculates travel times and distances between locations: e.g. buildings, areas or communities. In addition, external transport models can be integrated; e.g. the agent-based MATSim or macro models as VISUM.

icon MICROSIMULATION

In FaLC, "agents" determine their "future": these agents are individuals, households or businesses. Thus, the discussion about the number of person-aggregations is unnecessary. Taking age, workplace, place of residence etc. into account, the modeled persons (almost) are unique - like in real world. This allows modeling close to reality.

FaLC PRODUCTS

icon FaLC-sim

The core of FaLC - e.g. annually recurring models and various export functions - as well as some Add-ons are also published as Open Source Software (AGPLv3). This enables users to integrate their own models and concepts in FaLC. In addition, the models used in FaLC therfore are transparent for others.

icon FaLC-pro

FaLC-pro includes all functionalities of FaLC-sim and extends them with a User Interface and other tools: a simplified transport model, evaluation and visualization possibilities. FaLC-pro can be licensed for one year and includes detailed documentation and support.

icon SUPPORT

In addition to support, our team will gladly assist you while builing up the models (data collection, modeling, as well as evaluations). Are you interested in a workshop or in a joint project, please contact us without any obligation.
